Accepting requests and providing information (ENG)

 

In accordance with the requirements of Article 19 of the Law of Ukraine "On Access to Public Information", requests for information may be submitted at the requester's choice orally, in writing or in another form (in particular, by mail, telephone, e-mail).

The request may be individual or collective. A written request is submitted in any form.

The procedure for showing down the public information and considering requests for information, reimbursement by requesters of costs for copying or printing copies of documents in accordance with the Law of Ukraine "On Access to Public Information", is regulated in the Kirovohrad Regional Prosecutor's Office:

Requests are accepted and access to public information is provided in a specially designated place - the reception office of citizens of the Kirovohrad Regional Prosecutor's Office at the address: ave. European, 4, Kropyvnytskyi, 25006.

Work with information requesters is carried out on workdays and hours: Monday to Thursday - 9 am to 1 pm and 1:45 pm to 5:45 pm;

Friday - 9 am to 1 pm and 1:45 pm to 4:30 pm.

Requests for information to the Kirovohrad Regional Prosecutor's Office are submitted to:

- by filling out an electronic request form

The request for information must contain:

(Article 19 of the Law of Ukraine "On Access to Public Information"):

1) the name (title) of the requester, mail address or email address, as well as the number of the means of communication, if any;

2) a general description of the information or the type, name, bank details or content of the document requested, if it is known to the requester;

3) signature and date if the request is submitted in writing form.

In order to simplify the procedure for processing written requests for information, a Form for submitting a request for public information has been developed, which can be obtained: at the Citizens' Reception Office of the Kirovohrad Regional Prosecutor's Office (address: ave. European, 4, Kropyvnytskyi, 25006) or download on the website.

If, for good reasons, a person cannot submit a written request, it will be provided with assistance in completing the request by a responsible employee of the department for organizing the reception of citizens, consideration of appeals and requests of the regional prosecutor's office, who must indicate name and contact phone number in the request, and provide a copy of the request to the person who submitted it.

Information upon request is provided free of charge.

If the fulfilment of a request for information involves making copies of documents exceeding 10 pages, the requester is obliged to reimburse the actual costs of copying and printing.

When providing a person with information about itself and information of public interest, no fee is charged for copying and printing.

In accordance with Article 23 of the Law of Ukraine "On Access to Public Information", decisions, actions or inaction of information managers may be appealed to the head of the manager, a higher body or a court.

Complaints addressed to the heads of regional and district prosecutor's offices are considered in accordance with the procedure and terms established by the Law of Ukraine "On Citizens' Appeals", taking into account the provisions of the said Instruction.

Appeals against decisions, actions or inaction of information managers to the court are carried out in accordance with the Code of Administrative Procedure of Ukraine.

In accordance with Article 17 of the Law of Ukraine “On Access to Public Information”, parliamentary control over compliance with the human right to access information is carried out by the Commissioner for Human Rights of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, temporary investigative commissions of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, and people's deputies of Ukraine.
